1. The ECOWAS Commission, within the framework of the execution of its
2023 budget decided to build a maternity and pediatry in the regional
hospital of Bafata (GUINEA BISSAU). In this regard, the Government of the
GUINEA BISSAU has allocated 382.625,5 m2 of land in he regional hospital
of Bafata. The construction of these infrastructures aims to improve access
to health care as well as resilience in the Bafata region.

2. The ECOWAS Commission now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
the implementation of the BUILDING OF A MATERNITY AND PEDIATRY IN
THE REGIONAL HOSPITAL OF BAFATA (GUINEA BISSAU).

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the Procurement Division of the Directorate of
General Administration, 1

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be collected by interested
bidders upon Submission of a written application addressed to the
Directorate of General administration and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of one Hundred Fifty US Dollars ($100) only. NB: There would be a mandatory site meeting on June 20, 2023 at 11.00
am daily in the Regional Hospital of Bafata, Guinea Bissau. For Bidders outside Nigeria, the Bidding Documents can be mailed to
interested Bidders upon payment (by Transfer) of non-refundable fee of
one hundred US Dollars ($100) only to ECOWAS Commission (transfer
charges born by the bidder). (Account Details available on request.)

5. Bids must be accompanied by an Original Bid Security (Bank Guarantee
or Insurance Bond) of eigth Thousand US Dollars Only ($8,000) and must
remain valid one (1) month after the Bid Validity Period.

6. Bids should be delivered in a sealed envelope and deposited in the
ECOWAS Tender Box located at General Administration, Procurement
Division Office, 1st Floor ECOWAS Commission, 101 Yakubu Gowon
Crescent, Asokoro District, PMB 401, Abuja, Nigeria.

7. Bids should be clearly marked “BUILDING OF A MATERNITY AND PEDIATRY
IN THE REGIONAL HOSPITAL OF BAFATA (GUINEA BISSAU) “Do Not Open, Except in Presence of the Procurement Committee’’ on or before 11.00 am on Friday July 21, 2023 at the latest and should clearly indicate Price, Specifications, Delivery Period, Bid Validity Period and Bid Security Validity Period as these will determine the acceptance of bids received.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who
choose to attend, on Friday July 21, 2023 at 11.30 am, in the Procurement Division of ECOWAS Commission Headquarters, Plot 101, Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Asokoro District, Abuja.

9. This invitation for Bids is also published in the ECOWAS Website
http://www.ecowas.int/doing-business-in-ecowas/ecowas- procurement/.

10. Bidders are invited to note that, foreign firms that are not registered in Guinea Bissau, are Required to form legal partnership with local firms in Guinea Bissau to qualify.
