The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Nigeria, Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue, presented his
credentials to the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)
Commission, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, in Abuja, Nigeria, on Monday 10 February 2025.
On receiving the letters, Dr Omar Alieu Touray told him that an official ceremony to present his
letter of accreditation would be organised in his honour shortly.

Dr Omar Alieu Touray praised the excellent relations between ECOWAS and Equatorial Guinea,
and praised the leadership of Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo,
as well as the important role he plays in preserving peace and security in Africa in general, and
in Central Africa in particular.

He expressed the hope that President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo would work to find
solutions to the security and socio-economic challenges facing other regions of the African
continent.

‘All the entities and regions of our continent are experiencing difficulties. The role of President
Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in resolving them will be greatly appreciated. Africa is a
