WORKSHOP TO DEVELOP THE CORE INDICATORS FOR ECOWAS VISION 2050

The Directorate of Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, is organizing “Workshop to Develop Core Indicators for ECOWAS Vision 2050” with representatives from ECOWAS Institutions, Departments, and agencies from 16 to 20 February 2026, in Niger State, Nigeria.

The overall objective is to provide ECOWAS Vision 2050 with a comprehensive list of Core Indicators that will enable stakeholders and decision-makers to access information on progress towards achieving the vision for strategic decision-making.

Specifically, the workshop aims to establish a list of the Core Indicators per pillar from the existing indicators developed and used by the ECOWAS Institutions and Agencies, also establish data sources in the Member States for generating these Core Indicators and develop the Comprehensive Reference Sheet for each Core Indicator, data collection methodology, and manual for these Core Indicators.

The key outputs of this workshop will be a list of the Core Indicators, a reference sheet, and a data collection methodology for ECOWAS Vision 2050.
