Secondment on AfCFTA Protocol on Competition Policy to the ECOWAS Regional Competition Authority (M/W)

Mission description

1. OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

1. The main objectives of this assignment are to

1. a) Review the ECOWAS Legal Frameworks on Competition in order to align it with the AfCFTA Protocol on Competition Policy;
2. b) Within the framework of collaboration between ERCA and the AfCFTA Entity empowered to address Competition matters, provide expert advice and guidance to strengthen this collaboration;
3. c) Improve the capacities of ERCA, the ECOWAS Commission and Member States in competition compliance and enforcement; and
4. d) ensure that ERCA can discharge its mandate as provided under its enabling law.
