H.E.Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, carried out an official visit to the WAPP ICC Project construction site.
He was welcomed by a delegation of the WAPP Secretariat led by the WAPP Secretary General M. Siengui A. KI.
Funded by the European Union, the ICC (Information and Coordination Center) project is an integral part of the Regional Electricity Market implementation process. It included Zone A (the technical building), which will house the Information and Coordination Center, and Zone B (the administrative building), which will house the WAPP General Secretariat. Also included in the construction, supply and installation of SCADA / EMS / WAMS and MMS / AMR systems for the management of the electrical system and the Electricity Market.
