While many studies have indicated how CBD offers health and wellbeing benefits, there is still much to be proven. Because of this, people often ponder to what extent CBD is helping, and how much of these benefits could be due to some kind of CBD Placebo effect.
Thousands of experiments have demonstrated that simply by giving someone a pill (containing only sugar), and saying that it can help treat their condition, delivers real measurable results.
The effects can be so significant that many doctors admit to deliberately prescribing placebo pills to patients with great success. However, for a placebo to be most effective the subject must not know that they are being given a placebo.
The results of double-blind clinical trials are considered gold-standard and are as ‘real’ as can be. So have there been any CBD double-blind clinical trials?
These trials do exist for certain medical issues, but unfortunately, they are fairly limited. While humans have been consuming cannabis for thousands of years, science has lagged for reasons such as prohibition and a lack of funding.
However, with the surge in the popularity of cannabinoids in recent years, we expect to see some exciting results very soon. There are multiple trials taking place right now.

CBD Gummies have become immensely popular across the globe, which isn’t surprising when they consist of two of the world’s fastest-selling things: Sweets and CBD. However, just because something sells well does not necessarily mean that it’s effective. So, do CBD Gummies work?
CBD Edibles such as cannabidiol gummies do work to some extent, but they tend to have lower bioavailability than many other alternatives.
Bioavailability is the extent to which your body can process and absorb any given substance. A bioavailability of 100% would mean that your body absorbs 100% of the compound that you ingest/consume/rub into the skin
Given that there are better alternatives out there, you may wonder why they are worth buying at all. Well, there are a couple of reasons.
Due to their sweet flavour, CBD Gummies can be given to people who find it difficult to consume other forms of CBD. They will still deliver some benefits which in many cases would be better than nothing.
They are also just nice to have as a treat that can contribute to your daily dose of CBD. But for health purposes, we advise consuming them in moderation due to their sugar content.

NOVEL FOODS UPDATE
The UK CBD industry is currently undergoing significant regulatory change. In order for CBD products to remain on sale, the brand in question must meet the following requirements:
Have been launched before February 2020.
Have a ‘Novel Foods Dossier’ submitted to demonstrate the safety of their products.
Have the dossier pre-validated and then fully validated by the FSA.
The BROWN’S CBD brand has been included in the EHIA (European Industrial Hemp Association) dossier which includes Full-Spectrum, Broad-Spectrum and CBD Isolate.
As this dossier has passed the ‘pre-validation stage, our products are permitted to remain on sale until being granted full validation.
