The Ghana Company 4 (GHANCOY 4), serving with the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB), on Friday 6 March 2026 observed Ghana\u2019s 69th Independence Day anniversary with a Cultural Exhibition aimed at showcasing Ghana\u2019s rich cultural heritage and promoting Ghana as a strategic peaceful destination in West Africa for tourism and investment. Items displayed at the exhibition included traditional costumes, musical instruments, food and artefacts of Ghanaian origin.<\/p>\n
In a presentation, the Combat Team Commander, Lt Col Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah gave a comprehensive brief on the Political history of Ghana, Culture, Tourism, Economy, Sports and Religion with emphasis on religious peaceful coexistence. He concluded by urging the international audience to visit and experience Ghana\u2019s rich hospitality.<\/p>\n
The Force Commander, Brig Gen Edward Odinya Ojabo iterated that, Ghana has been a role model for regional integration, political stability and peaceful coexistence which are all paramount for development and growth of the West African Sub-region. He also commended GHANCOY 4 for exhibiting high levels of discipline and professionalism over the period.<\/p>\n
The Resident Representative of The President of the ECOWAS Commission (RRPC) in Guinea-Bissau, HE Ambassador Ukaije Ngozi, acknowledged the remarkable political and socioeconomic gains made by Ghana since Independence. She wished Ghana and all Ghanaians well in all future endeavors.<\/p>\n
Present at the exhibition were the Head of Ghanaian Consulate in Guinea-Bissau, Mr Soale Abdul-Razak, members of the diplomatic corps, Ambassadors and representatives of various Embassies in Guinea-Bissau, Staff Officers of the Force Headquarters and members of the Ghanaian community in Guinea-Bissau.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
